University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada) Calling for Children with Celiac to Participate in Study

Researchers from the University of Alberta, Edmonton (Canada) are seeking Canadian children (ages 3 – 17 years) with celiac who are following a gluten-free diet. The study involves completing a few questionnaires. The questions will consist of what the child is eating on the gluten-free diet, whether experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms and quality of life while on the gluten-free diet (both physical and emotionally). Both parents and child(ren) will be asked to complete the questionnaires as, according to one of the researchers “… the perceptions of parents and the child are both important”.

Questionnaires are easy to complete and will be emailed out to participants. The researchers will need to follow-up via telephone conversation with the participants at a mutually convenient time, to go over the questionnaire(s).

June 30, 2014 is the deadline for participation in this study, but participants are encouraged to participate as soon as possible.

If you are not interested in participating, kindly share with others whom you think may be interested.
