The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) is kicking off the New Year by launching it’s “Take the Pledge” Campaign. I just took the pledge and I urge you to do so as well. By taking the pledge you will gain access to useful information that you will need to keep healthy and to help spread awareness of Celiac and Non-Celiac Gluten-Sensitivity. Too many people, located in all corners of the world, continue to suffer due to undiagnosed celiac and gluten-sensitivity. “Gluten-Free” needs to be associated more with Celiac, the auto-immune, life long condition, rather than as a fad diet!
What does “Taking the Pledge” mean?
In NFCA’s words … “It means much more than just committing 100% to your gluten-free diet. By taking the Pledge, you’re promising to take a proactive approach to managing your health in just three easy steps – whether it’s learning more about celiac disease itself, promising to be more diligent about recognizing and preventing cross-contact or participating in the many forms of research focused on celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity (‘gluten sensitivity’).
Listen to NFCA’s President Alice Bast describe why you should consider taking the pledge HERE.
Are you ready to Educate yourself on all things Celiac, Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity and how to live a healthy, gluten-free lifestyle? Are you ready to Empower yourself to be proactive about your own health and help raise more awareness so others will get diagnosed? Will you consider becoming an Advocate by continuing to spread the word to family members, so they will seek testing (remember, Celiac is genetic).
Then Take the Pledge! Head on over to NFCA’s Facebook Page HERE or to their website HERE. NFCA provides all the tools you will need (symptom checklist, dining tips, webinar archives, info on how to talk to your family members & much more).
When you take the Pledge (just a few simple steps!), you will automatically be entered to win Blue Diamond (NFCA “Take the Pledge” sponsor) gluten-free products.
