A new study shows people with non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) produce a high level of anti-gluten antibodies, similar to people with celiac, but the types of antibodies produced and inflammatory response is different. Identifying these antibodies in people with NCGS could help physicians diagnose and treat people with non-celiac gluten sensitivity and also “prevent or reduce the severity of the immunologic reaction to gluten” in people with celiac.
